What You Can Expect From Nova at MFCA 2016
Firefighters in Canada, and around the world, work hard and put in long hours every day to keep their communities, and the people within them, safe. Doing that, however, means making sure team members are safe as well – especially in what can turn into dangerous situations.
That’s why Nova Communications is excited to be attending the MFCA (Maritime Fire Chiefs Association) Annual Conference, which will take place between July 10 and July 13, 2016 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Keep reading to find out what you can expect to see from Nova at this year’s MFCA.
As firefighters in the Maritimes know, the MFCA Annual Conference is the largest professional development opportunity for their craft east of Toronto. As such, it functions as an important tool, not only for firefighters looking to improve their skill set, but also for us at Nova Communications to understand the communication needs of emergency services in the field and what they need to perform your job as safely as possible.
To help you do just that, here are a few items we’ll be showcasing at MFCA:
Digital Radio Systems
If you are looking for an upgrade from your analog radio systems, take a closer look at these products. We can speak to you about the maximum distance and clarity of digital radios, along with their audio quality and battery life as it relates to IMPRES batteries and chargers. Keep an eye out, and ask about special features like ManDown and Emergency Alert, as well as waterproof radios.
We here at Nova can help you with a planned migration to a digital radio system, whether it’s over a short period of time or the next two to three years. An added benefit is, if in two years you decide you need more radios, that digital system will work perfectly with the latest technology.
Wireless Audio Accessories
If your firefighter’s already use Motorola radios, it may be beneficial to pay close attention to how additional accessories can improve your efficiency and safety on the job. Accessories built by Motorola are meant to work for you, and can allow you to work around the truck or pumper in the middle of a call, while also still hearing the radios within a 200 foot range.
Motorola Accessories for XTS & APX Series Radios (TMR2 & NBTMR Radios)
A number of fire stations throughout the Maritimes have made the transition, or are considering the transition to TMR2 or NBTMR systems. Only the right accessories can help to maximize the performance and reliability of your radios. Nova Communications can work with you to learn about speaker mics, headsets, batteries, charger technology (including single and multi-unit devices) and, of course, industry leading IMPRES technology.
Motorola Minitor 6 Pagers
These pagers are especially designed for quick responses to emergency situations. With up to 16 minutes of voice recording, in addition to customizable call alerts, its flexible and rugged design means it can handle even touch-and-go situations. Automated battery alerts ensure you don’t lose the device at the worst possible time, while enhanced receiver clarity and range let you hear everything you need to hear crystal-clear.
Of course, these are just a few of the many products we’ll be happy to discuss with you at the MFCA conference this July. At Nova Communications, we value events like this, which give us an opportunity to connect directly with our customers and users to better understand their needs and help improve and support the work they do.
As a Motorola Platinum Channel Partner, we will be able to provide you and your division with the quality products you need to do your job and keep others safe. Motorola does a series of on-site testing and research with people like you, to ensure the product that Nova Communications sells are of the highest quality and durability, and will stand up to the work you do daily.
