WAVE, TLK & Evolve: 3 Efficient Communications Tools
Though this year’s Motorola Roadshow had to go digital, it did not disappoint. Every session provided insight into the future of two-way radio. Many of the sessions covered new solutions, including two-way radio over LTE (cellular) and broadband networks. Our favourite new solutions from the show are WAVE, Evolve, and TLK series.
1. WAVE
WAVE is a carrier independent broadband push-to-talk (PTT) subscription service from Motorola. The service is designed with a Kodiak-based cloud solution to extend two-way radio communications to phones, tablets, and PC’s. This online subscription simplifies day-to-day operations through WAVE Dispatch. Use any device from anywhere to login and access the communication tools you need. WAVE offers text messaging, photo, and video communications, as well as the following features:

While this device has been built to connect to the Nitro LTE Network in the USA, it can still be used as part of a private LTE system on various LTE bands in Canada.
