ROCK Networks Partners with Excelerate to Deliver Hybrid Connectivity Solutions to First Responders in Canada
ROCK Networks, a leading provider of wireless, broadband, and satellite solutions, has partnered with Excelerate, a leading provider of communications solutions to governments, civil defence agencies, and emergency services. The partnership enables ROCK Networks to provide essential emergency communication solutions across Canada.
As a global supplier of ubiquitous and hybrid LTE and satellite connectivity, Excelerate’s solutions can provide reliable communication where no other options are available. This innovative technology is critical in areas where no terrestrial communications services exist, may be congested, under threat, or suffering from disruption.
Excelerate offers a range of static and fixed, vehicle-mounted, and portable satellite platforms suitable for a variety of applications and environments where fast deployment is essential. Whatever environment, Excelerate provides a crucial link between emergency services and their respective control and dispatch centres using low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity, and bonded satellite and cellular hybrid connectivity.
This partnership strengthens ROCK Networks’ growing position as a unique end-to-end satellite communications systems integrator in Canada. ROCK Networks’ full suite of satellite connectivity solutions provides LEO, MEO, and GEO connectivity through OneWeb and SES constellation of satellites, industry-leading terminal providers that link to Excelerate’s platform for a seamless LTE or satellite connection. ROCK Networks installs and services all equipment.
The collaboration will see Rock focus upon the distribution of Excelerate’s standalone products across the Canadian market, namely Excell, its long range 4G optimisation antenna, Linx Hub, a portable Wi-Fi ‘hotspot’, UAV live streamers and Excelerate’s bodyworn cameras.
Rather than working with disparate providers and systems, ROCK Networks’ is a one-stop shop for critical satellite communications. With 40 plus years of experience serving the emergency services community with two-way radio and NG9-1-1 solutions, ROCK understands the unique challenges faced by the industry.
David Savage, founder and CEO of Excelerate, said: “This truly is an exciting partnership with more than 60 years’ combined experience and expertise in delivering ubiquitous connectivity solutions between us. The Rock partnership forms part of our global partner program, and it will enable us as a company to scale up our reach and to work with likeminded organisations that are at the forefront in providing crucial communications to those who need it most and need it instantly – regardless of location.”
